Hosted by theEstrella MountainCommunity Collegein Arizona, theOnline Biology Bookis more or less a tran-scription of collegelectures by M JFarabee, professor atsaid college. Needlessto say, the book covers college-leveltopics, ranging from the innards ofthe cell to ecosystem dynamics andthe reasons behind mass extinc-tions. The content was last revisedin late 2001, which is acceptable, considering that Nature isn’t goingto change its ways in six wee years. The pages are in simple, no-frillsHTML, and we must give it a brown-ie point or two for the well-execut-ed diagrams—they’re neat, clear, and quite self-explanatory. Eachchapter comes with images, linksand cross-references, and links jar-gon to the glossary.
