About the Author
Ariel Dorfman, born in 1942 in Argentina, raised in Chile. Advisor to the Allende government. After the military coup in 1973 fled to Argentina. He now lives and works as a writer and professor at Duke University in North Carolina, USA. His published books have been translated into over thirty languages.
