About the Author
Until he became a professor in polymer science and technology at Delft University of Technology in 1978, prof. Van der Vegt worked at Royal Dutch Shell laboratories and at Wavin. He published several major texts on polymer science and technology. After his retirement in 1991 he remained active in providing courses for professionals and writing textbooks. He died in 2002.
